Description
Barebones Nata Japanese Hatchet.
A nod to the timeless design of Japanese tools, the Nata is as beautiful as it is functional. The easy-to-sharpen 18cm blade is made from 5mm thick 4Cr14MoV full tang stainless steel, ideal for complete outdoor work. With a wide bevel and heavy weight, this ax makes it easy to chop, split small wood and carve. The extra-long edge makes it a must-have for pruning, debarking and limb removal. The durable, smooth walnut wood handle reduces vibration in the hand and resists cracking over time. Intentional details like the copper lanyard ring elevate this ax to impressive quality. The Nata is the perfect outdoor tool to add to your wilderness arsenal.
The ultimate shield for the ultimate tool, the sheath combines utility and design. Made from 900D polyester with an interior liner, it stands up to real-world use while protecting the blade from dulling. The stainless steel belt clip makes carrying and accessibility easier, while the strong handle strap prevents the blade from slipping or moving. The open end allows for easy cleaning and prevents dirt buildup, preserving the blade for years of continuous use. Accented with full grain leather and copper to complement the rest of our Woodsman collection.

Blade: • Apply a thin layer of protective oil after each use. Wipe off dirt, water and fingerprints regularly. Use a fine file to straighten larger dents or nicks in the blade. The edge can be sharpened with a disc or medium-sized whetstone.
Sheath: • Oilcloth should never be dry cleaned or machine washed. It can be cleaned carefully by hand. Brush off the dirt, rinse the surface with cold water, scrub gently with a brush, then let air dry. If stains persist, use mild soap or saddle soap.
After cleaning, the oilcloth may need to be waxed again. To do this, use a wax conditioner and apply following the manufacturer's instructions.
