The creators of LA SIESTA began to spread the South American joie de vivre by importing the first hammocks to Germany, almost thirty years ago.

About them

They dream of sharing the joys of the hammock with everyone around them: their small, modern family business is one of the main suppliers of hammocks and hammock chairs; and nils make every effort every day to make you taste this unique life experience!

Their motives

Their parents started importing hammocks from Latin America to Germany in 1991. Quite quickly, they realized the positive impact of hammocks on our lives: they would make people more human, more open, more convivial. This impact on our daily lives is of such intensity that it continues to motivate their employees to stay on the lookout for new creative ideas to develop their hammocks. Today, they are proud to be able to work with the best hammock manufacturers in the world. They share the same vision of life with their suppliers, keeping Humans and Nature at the heart of their concerns.

Their team

40 employees spread between Jugenheim and Miami, all united by the love of hammocks. They all want to bring a unique experience to their customers.

Driven by the same passion for hammocks, their forty employees are divided between the two offices in Jugenheim and Miami. Desiring to bring a unique and exceptional experience to their customers, they believe that keeping an open mind and embracing diversity is crucial to achieving this. The LA SIESTA team reflects these values through a happy mix of ten different nationalities, of all ages.

Environment and responsibility

We dream of a better world. As a family business, we actively take responsibility for people and nature. We dream of a better world for our children and our grandchildren. Strengthened by our leading position in the hammock market, we want to add our stone to the building through the convictions and commitments of our family business. We give the necessary impetus where it is possible for us.

As a leader, we have all the more responsibilities: not only towards people – who work from the beginning to the end of the LA SIESTA creation chain – but also towards natural resources. In contact with our suppliers for a long time, our relationships are based on mutual trust and respect.
